At Odds

Sketched up while listening to nothing in particular.
Bonus sketch for the week. Why?  Well frankly I'm not thrilled at how it turned out. But hey, sketching on the bus can only do so much. and like I said; that's what first drafts are for!
And anyway, what's up with these two? I thought they were all friends!  Or at least cool with each other?

Our Little Secret

Sketched up while listening to nothing in particular, although I highly suggest "Truth or Dare" by Mariana's Trench!

Some Simon/Isabelle (Sizzy!) to round out the week. Because I promised. :)
Although I'm surprised I don't draw them more because, out of all the relationships, I think Simon and Isabelle really are most like my wife and I- minus all the supernatural elements. ...I think. At least I'm about 63% sure neither of us is either a vampire or guardian of the world so...

I Found My Heaven

I see the stars in the freckles on her face,
And I'm seeing God every time she says my name.
So mother Mary, pray for me,
Without her I'm so lost,
Her love is my religion.

Sketched up while listening to "Her Love is My Religion" by The Cab.
I hope this makes up for the cascade of feels from yesterday's post! Jace and Clary (she's got her Voyance Rune!) just... stupidly happy! These poor two haven't had a moment to really be *happy* with each other. I mean, come on, look at his grin.
The song, too, is just so much them in my eyes. Jace even says he doesn't believe in God, but he believes in their love so... :)
Give it a listen! it's a great song.

Hello Old Friend

EDIT: now with a freshly scented Tumblr link!
Still Spoilery though!

Sketched up while listening to... nothing in particular. Except the sound of my heart breaking perhaps.

Fan art for Cassandra Clare's The Infernal Devices series.
I have no clear idea how tombs work in the Silent City, but I would like to think that he would visit them from time to time...

Every memory comes on
When I hear that old song
We used to sing
With the words all wrong
I remember the faces
And familiar places
And I sing along
But Acadia is gone

Sketched up while listening to "Acadia" by Mariana's  Trench.
A bit more peaceful of a scene. Although I gave some slightly wrong impressions in it. Mainly insinuating that the gentleman with the guitar (Kain) is a singer. He is not. Ookami (on the far left) is. But I can hardly be blamed for lack of foresight when these are started first thing in the morning on a bumpy bus ride! That's what second drafts are for anyway.
Also Rin (next to Kain) can be seen here. I need to draw her more, as she is important too.

Dreaming of Tearing You Apart

Burn everything you love, then burn the ashes. In the end everything collides, my childhood spat back out the monster that you see.
Sketched up while listening to "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark" by Fall Out Boy.

Ookami is an interesting guy to me. He broods, but often with good reason, and not to the point where he is downright mopey and tragic. He is actually a big goofball.  But there is a very visceral side to him that I have been exploring more lately.
And it is fun.

Professional Griefers

The firefight got too hot! Alex, and Ookami from "The Refuge".

Sketched up while listening to "Proffessional Griefers" by Deadmau5 and Gerard Way.
Something about that song always gets me pumped for first person shooters.

Ever After

You say I would make a better liar, and never face the music when it's dire... I breathe disaster ever after...
...Can you stay where you are for a while?
I could be your perfect disaster.
You could be my ever after...
Ookami spends a lonely day, reflecting over his coffee of things that were, and could have been.

Clary Fray from the "Mortal Instruments" in Badass!Shadowhunter mode, a la "City of Lost Souls".
