Many Faces

Just some older sketch pages today. Playing with face shapes and studies for "The Refuge" and some of the antagonists in the story. A lot of the designs have evolved further still from this point (earlier this year!) so I don't mind posting these.

Winning Love by Daylight

The two leading characters of "The Refuge" dressed as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. While I think I'll take another pass on the idea, I still liked this sketch, and I didn't want to just post it without some colour!

Fan Comic: City of Glass Page 1

The line art for the first page of a fan comic I started, oh... Hmm... way too long ago now -earlier in the year I think? January? A 3 page interlude of a scene that doesn't even occur (to my knowledge anyway) in Cassandra Clare's third novel "City of Glass." I was inspired and couldn't resist doing this scene inspired by the events leading up to it in the book!

Some of the art looks dated to my eyes, but I look forward to finishing this up soon. When I do, I'll post the excerpt for a bit of context. Until then, enjoy!

Kevin Zegers as Alec Lightwood

Self explanitory! Sept 19th was Kevin Zeger's birthday, and he plays Alec Lightwood in the upcoming City of Bones movie! I did this to celebrate. I think this is the 8th revision!

Sunset

Tonight it was really neat! Tried to grab my DS to capture the colours in time. I think I did okay!

Spotlight

A sort of conceptual piece for something I tentatively have planned. Imagry is going to play a big role. Not sure if this was a success or not but I know I need to move on to the next piece!
